Father, please teach me the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Amen.

The tribulation period and great tribulation, explained

Tribulation begins at the time when the daily sacrifice or continual offering is stopped or taken away. It continues for 3.5 years, until Messiah returns. Many believers will be persecuted and killed during this time. It's about the trial of your faith.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.All these are the beginning of sorrows.Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.(Matthew 24:7-14 - Mattityah, gift of יְהוָֹה)

The Holy Scriptures refers to the tribulation period as Yaacov's (Jacob's) trouble.

After the abomination of desolation occurs great tribulation begins. Great tribulation is after; the 2 witnesses are killed, the anti-messiah excersizes his power over all the earth.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.(Matt 24:21-22 Mattityah, gift of יְהוָֹה )

The pressure on believers is going to greatly increase at this time because of what just took place. There is not long to wait, less than 45 days, because of The Father’s compassion on His people, but at this time, many will be severely persecuted and killed.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and where did they come from?And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.(Revelation 7:13-17)

Great tribulation begins when the tribulation gets much worse immediately after the abomination of desolation. At this time, the 2 witnesses are resurrected already and the anti-messiah exercises his power over all the earth.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.(Matthew 24:15-22 - Mattityah, gift of יְהוָֹה )

This also tells us about how the Father is going to save His people out of this great tribulation in not many days forward from this point. The days written in the book of Daniel are going to be shortened to save the people the Creator chooses. This is foretold here;

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.(Isaiah 59:19 – Yeshayah – יְהוָֹה is Salvation )

Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.(Isaiah 65:8-10 - Yeshayah – יְהוָֹה is Salvation )

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. (Revelation 6:6)

Thanks to the Father, we can have hope right up to the very end of the tribulation period. Prepare now! Grow your relationship with Him in prayer. Speak to him in your mind and He will hear you, and may reply with His Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit), so listen up when you pray!

Can anyone tell me how many days are left until Messiah returns after the abomination of desolation, IF the Father wasn't going to shorten the days?

It's written in the book of Daniel, 12th chapter. As it warns in Matthew and Mark, He who reads, let him understand.
